About the music we use...

Due to copyright laws, we can't usually just use any music out there in the world or hit radio song for our wedding films.  (We know there are many companies that do this, but it is at the risk of being sued by the artist or the label.  Also, we pour our heart and soul into each piece we make and we wouldn't want someone else using our stuff without our knowledge or permission, and so we try to offer the same respect to those making the music.)  Most of the music we use comes from music licensing websites, where we can purchase the rights to a song for a single piece.  That being said, if you have a song or an artist that you are dying to use, we've had great luck when couples reach out directly to an artist to obtain permission.  If that's the case, just run the song by us first so we can make sure it would be a good one for a highlight film (we just want to make sure it has the ingredients for a good wedding film, like enough pauses between lyrics to insert dialogue, things like that), and then go ahead and reach out to the artist!  Be persistent... they may not respond to the first couple of emails but they usually do eventually respond.  Once we have written permission from the artist and/or label, we can totally set your wedding film to that song, or use a portion of it mixed with other music (like the first dance song from the first example listed below that the couple got permission from the artist to use).  If you don't have a particular song in mind (most of our couples don't), then that is great too and we always do our best to pick songs that match the couple and the wedding day.

Here are some of examples of couples that reached out to artists and got permission to use a song for their video:
